Join the Bounce Coalition for a webinar on October 8, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m with one of the co-founders of Spiritual First Aid, Dr. Jamie Aten.
Dr. Aten is a professor of humanitarian aid and disaster management at a faith-based college, where he founded and co-directs a trauma research center and graduate program. Personally, he is both a Hurricane Katrina and a late-stage early-onset cancer survivor. Professionally, as a disaster psychologist, he has responded to and researched disasters and mass traumas around the globe.
During our webinar, Dr. Jamie Aten will be discussing what Spiritual First Aid is, the role of community and faith groups in building resilience, and the tools that can be gained from this training opportunity.
The Bounce Coalition is eager and excited to provide this new training for FREE to communities across the Commonwealth to strengthen community capacity, provide new resources to build resilience, and equip community members with the tools to respond in a trauma-informed way. During the webinar, attendees will gain more information on how to get started in bringing this training to their communities.
