On April 18, the Bounce Coalition gathered for Part 2 of its strategic planning process, powered by the CVS Health Foundation, for a retreat devoted to turning vision into action and deepening the impact of our coalition’s work across Kentucky. The convening focused on refining the mission, identifying core values, and operationalizing Bounce’s next chapter of resilience-building. The heart of the day focused on Bounce’s core pillars of work, from ACEs training and technical assistance to program implementation and community education. The team brainstormed ideas to deepen each area, such as expanding training offerings to new partners, enhancing evaluating methods, and increasing visibility with a strategic marketing plan. Leandra Torra, Bounce Coalition member and JCPS SEL & Re-Engagement Manager , reflected on the day:
“The strategic planning work for the Bounce Coalition has me incredibly excited about its future impact! This organization is home to remarkably talented people who consistently dedicate themselves to improving our community through their care and compassion.”
Laurie Grimes, Bounce Coalition member and Pediatric with Norton Healthcare, shared, “I am so glad to be joining the Bounce team during this exciting period of growth and recalibrating services to community needs. Bounce continues to be a committed and compassionate community asset!”
As we wrapped up the day, we recorded reflections on Bounce’s past, present, and future–capturing stories of how far we’ve come and visions of how to ignite the next chapter. With momentum and greater clarity, Bounce is poised to continue to grow resilience across the Commonwealth one child, adult, and community at a time.
