The Bounce Coalition is excited to announce a partnership with Louisville Metro’s Department of Health and Wellness to bring a trauma-informed care approach to several of the department’s partner organizations. Throughout the next year, Bounce will provide training and technical assistance to Nativity Academy at St. Boniface, West End School, and several other partner organizations. This collaboration provides opportunities for cross-organizational sharing of best practices that will be integral to become self-sustaining, trauma-informed organizations – serving children and families in their communities in healing-centered and trauma-informed ways.
This support will include creating capacity within each organizations to continue to implement trauma-informed approaches by hosting a Bounce University: Train-the-Trainer program and providing education on Bounce’s foundational curriculum, Bounce 101: Intro to ACEs and Trauma-Informed Practices and Bounce 102: Building Resilience, and other supplemental trainings and technical assistance to staff and organizational leaders. Bounce will also partner with each organization to provide opportunities for parent engagement and intentional collaboration between parents and school staff.
As always, evaluation is a key component of the work Bounce does in collaboration with any organization. We will help to ensure the work ahead aligns with the strengths and needs of each organization involved in this project.
As a result, Nativity Academy at St. Boniface, West End School, and other partner organizations will establish evidence-based, trauma-informed care models with their organizations that will continue to strengthen their impact and reach on the children they serve.
